| Why are ant baits better than other methods of controlling ants? |
|
| Baits have pin point accuracy since the ant takes the bait into the colony. When spraying a contact residual spray, you must spray anywhere the ant may go in the future. Contact killers also provide only short term control. Even if 99 percent of worker ants are killed, without killing the queen, the colony can survive and rebuild. Baits are very effective in eliminating these invaders. The ants, thinking the bait is food, bring it back to the colony; feed it to the worker ants and the queen. | |
| Why do ants keep coming into my house? |
|
| Ants that reside outside will enter a home in search of food and/or water. Extreme changes in the weather contribute to the ant search for food and/or water. High heat will send them on a search and rain will take them outside of their nests. There are also some ant species that nest inside your home. Baits, such as Grant's Kills Ant Control Baits and Stakes, are very effective in eliminating these invaders. (Also see quick tips for eliminating ants) | |

Quick Tips for eliminating ants:Seal cracks and crevices that allow entry into the home. Including caulking or filling in holes in cement, stucco, foundations and other structures. If possible follow ant trails as far back as you can. If you find the entry point, place ant bait just outside at locations inaccessible to children, pets and other non-target animals. The ants will take the bait rather than entering the home.
